Just back from dinner Dante's Kitchen, way up past Carrollton Street, past the Camelia Grill, in a small house on a corner.  A dinner of 6:  David [pickles], Nancy [Ivy], Julia {Jazz], Beverly [Melody], Heather [Gypt-C aka Tipsy], and Bill [Snake Oil].  It was a nice outdoor garden setting.   Bill and I arrived early, and ordered Champagne - Vodka cocktails.     The rest soon joined us.  We ordered a bottle of Red, and a bottle of white, my new favorite thing...  appetizers, Citrus Braised Short Rib, Escargot & House Made Bacon, Grilled Shrimp and Stone Ground Grits,  Seared Diver Scallops on bed of lentils.  Dinner was the Chicken Roasted Under a Brick with a Fried Egg on the side-this dish [apparently Precious' favorite] was a show stopping winner of flavors, Trois Mignons, Grilled Confit Pork Steak, side orders, Duck Fat Roasted Smashed New Potatoes, Sauteed Snap beans, Barq's Root Beer Candied Sweet Potatoes, Baked Mac & Cheese with Gruyere, Fontina...
