Thur. June 30th, 2011 En Route to Yosemite

Spent the last 5 nights camping on the beach at Pt. Magu Thornhill Broome Beach.  It was great!  Like renting an expensive beach house, without the house, for $25 per nite.  During the week in the summer it is easy to get a space.  We joined Wendy and Elia on Friday.  They had a bunch of mom's and kids come on Saturday, we had a tent city out there.  Then by Sunday afternoon, everyone was gone, and it was just Roger & I.  On shaky ground, but there nonetheless.  Nothing will change.  Nothing will get better.  Just enjoy the moments, and the company.  The best part about his company is there are very little demands, and its very easy to hang, with no talk of present past or future, just now.  He is very good at 'now'.   Well, there may be a longer list of what he is good at, but lets just leave that topic for now, as inevitably it will lead to the bad list, and I just don't have the energy to go there.

My ankle and foot is still in a lot of pain after tripping 2 weeks ago in Leucadia whist visiting Cynthia.  Only really stayed off it for a few days.  I have been walking on the foot, and the last 3 days at the beach I went for a 25-30 min. walk which was great, but at the expense of pain.   Just keeping my lost little girl aura at bay, barely.

I find myself at the Best Western in Selma, will be heading out by 12P to hit Walmart, and the grocery store.  Need to figure out what to do for the meal I am in charge of.  Am thinking lentil soup, or maybe beef stew?  Something like that.   Joining Julia, and Beverly, Mimi, Emily, August, and their boys, Baxter & Jack up in the Yosemite Valley for 5 nights.  A very coveted spot!  Our normal gang of 4th of July campers are scattered to the wind...unfortunately.  Not enough space up there, and were only able to get the one spot.   I wanted Roger to go, but he was being very difficult, and decided to not go, as we were bickering and what not, and so after a frustrating few hours rearranging the camp gear with him just sitting there watching me, it became clear he was not going to partake, and we had a frustrating series of errands, which resulted with me so sick of his attitude, and after all I do for him, and the heinous way he acts towards me and treats me, I had enough.  Abandoning him inside Everest, jumping on the fwy at 8P last night, and driving 3 hours to Fresno to get some of the drive behind me.
