Well, summer heat has had a slow upstart out here, which is great! Yesterday was gorgeous, breezy, sunny, not too hot. Roger decided to start drinking beer at noon, so by evening he was intolerable. Always managing to keep the wrong amount of distance. I headed to the spa waters around two o'clock, and it was not crowded, clean, and beautiful. Soaking and stretching out the drive from L.A. and the lack of sleep on narrow sofas in L.A. - sofa surfing due to renting out the Tujunga pad. Spent 3 days on The Closer, which was nice. Just some light background setting, and shushing...the usual. At Raleigh, where Commander was. Can't believe they are on their six? season? The last. Although they may do a spin off. I drove in on Friday morning leaving the desert around 430am, driving straight to the studio. Friday night I crashed at Ma's friend Dan's house in the Palisades after crawfish at Julia's. Ma & I hit the Starbucks early. Then she lost her car keys, and the normal panic ensued. Midday I headed to Dad's and hit the sofa for a nap and woke up 4 hours later. We made dinner, and then back to bed. Sunday we went for a nice walk, then hit Starbucks on Montana [do you see a common theme emerging?]. I went and saw the Woody Allen movie, as I dream about Paris. Cute. Dad and I hit Rosti's for dinner, and I was up at 530AM on Monday and back to the studio, which stretched into Tuesday as well. [Monday night at Julia's]. Tuesday night back to DHS. Yesterday was all about recovery. Still think I am recovering from the last day on Wilfred, which turned into a 19 hour day. Need to take any day's work that comes, keep my fingers in the pot. Dreaming of travel, where to go? So many ideas...Glacier National Park is looming...do we dare jump on a plane, fly to Missoula, drive into the park? We just might! Check out my leftover Jazzfest photos...
